Sunday is not like the other days in Athens: the new city market is closed and most of local people who don't leave the city, enjoy the beautiful old town.
Meet your Licensed Guide and head towards the Syntagma Sq. in order to start with a quick tour of the impressive central metro station and to be on time for the Official Changing of the Guards in front of the Parliament, which takes place every Sunday at 11:00am. Then, walk through Plaka to visit the Acropolis Museum and the Acropolis ( Nike's Temple, the Propylaea, the Parthenon, the Erechteion with the Karyatides) and stop at the Mars Hill (Areopagus) on the way to Athens hidden gem, Anafiotika. Follow your guide through the charming streets of the old town to the Roman Agora, the Ancient Agora of Socrates and of the best preserved ancient temple in Greece and bargain for an antique in the Flea Market! You may have a lunch break in this area and continue with Monastiraki and Hadrian's Library, mosques and Byzantine churches to Psyrri for a greek coffee by the end of your tour.
