DAY 1
Athens full day tour
Panoramic guided tour by bus and visits of the Acropolis, the Theater of Dionysos, the Acropolis Museum, the Ancient Agora and the old town, Plaka. Free time. Overnight in ATHENS.
DAY 2
Agnous Monastery, Epidaurus, Nafplio
First day of the land tour, includes a stop at the Corinth Canal and then, the Byzantine Monastery of Agnous on the way to Epidaurus, the most important healing center of the ancient world with the best preserved ancient greek theater. Afternoon walking tour, free time and overnight in NAFPLIO.
DAY 3
Mycenae, Vytina, Dimitsana.
Morning visit of the acropolis of Mycenae with its cyclopean walls, the Lions Gate, the Royal Graveyard and the nearby Tholos Tomb of Atreus. Drive to mountainous Arcadia, lunch break in Vytina and arrival to Dimitsana with its open-air Water Museum (optional visit). Overnight in DIMITSANA.
DAY 4
St. John Prodromos Monastery, Loussios Gorge, Ancient Gortyna, Messinia.
Short drive to Ellinikon village and to the M. of St John Prodromos. Hiking to visit the impressive old monastery and down to the Loussios Gorge up to Ancient Gortys. Overnight in DIMITSANA.
DAY 5
Ancient Messini, Polylimnio waterfalls-lakes, Kyparissia, Ancient Olympia.
Morning departure and drive to the extraordinary site of Ancient Messini (visit). After a lunch break, short drive to Polylimnio for a beautiful walk down to its waterfalls forming small lakes. Afternoon coffee break in Kyparissia and then arrival to Olympia. Overnight in OLYMPIA.
DAY 6
Museum & site of the Ancient Olympic Games, Nafpaktos.
Morning dedicated to the birthplace of the Olympic Games and afternoon drive via Patras & Rio-Antirrio to the charming sea-side town of Nafpaktos with the best preserved Venetian Port of the mainland in Greece. Free time. Overnight NAFPAKTOS.
DAY 7
Messolongi lagoon, Vonitsa & traditional boat cruise, Preveza.
Short drive to Messolongi and its famous lagoon and then continue to Vonitsa for a unique boat cruise including swimming & lunch on board. Drop off at Preveza. Overnight PREVEZA.
DAY 8
Nikopolis Museum and Ioannina Castle & lake island.
Morning drive to Nikopolis with its impressive walls and visit of the fascinating museum. Then, continue to Ioannina town and including a lunch break, sail to the only inhabited lake island in Europe. Overnight IOANNINA.
DAY 9
Zagoria , Voidomatis river, traditional villages tour.
Day tour of some of the most beautiful Zagoria villages on Mt Pindos. Overnight ZAGORIA.
DAY 10
Zagoria, Ovires, Kalampaka (Meteora).
Another day touring Zagoria villages and the famous stone made bridges, including the geological formation of Ovires. Afternoon departure to Meteora area. Overnight in KALAMPAKA.
DAY 11
Meteora Monasteries, Volos, Mt Pelion
Morning visit of the unique monastic complex of Meteora rocks. Lunch break and afternoon drive to Volos (short stop) and to Mt. Pelion. Overnight PORTARIA.
DAY 12
Mt Pelion traditional villages tour
Day tour of some of the famous traditional villages on the mountain of the Centaurs. Overnight in PORTARIA.
DAY 13
Volos- Cape Sounio- Athenian Riviera- Athens
After breakfast, drive towards Athens, including lunch break before to visit Cape Sounio with Poseidon's Temple. Afternoon drive by the Athenian Riviera to Athens. Ovenight in ATHENS.
DAY 14
Piraeus-fast ferry to Santorini
Morning transfer to Piraeus Port. Fast Ferry to Santorini island. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel. Overnight in SANTORINI.
DAY 15
Santorini island tour with Oia sunset
Full day Santorini tour including Akrotiri archaeological site and Oia famous for its architecture and sunset. Overnight in SANTORINI.
DAY 16
Santorini -day at leisure
Day at leisure to enjoy the island and its beaches. Optional cruise to the Caldera or other activity available. Overnight in SANTORINI.
DAY 17
Flight from Santorini to Athens - Possible: Connecting international flight.
